The Vitra HAL Ply Tube by Jasper Morrison belongs to the designer's family of HAL chairs. In contrast to other HAL chairs however it features a plywood seat. The chrome plated steel tube frame thus not only provides an exciting mix of materials, but also gives the object its understated, graceful figure.

The HAL Ply Tube by Jasper Morrison for Vitra belongs to the HAL family of chairs. The collection includes chairs which combine a wide range of bases, seats, colours and materials. The aim of the designer was to create a type of seating which on account of its diversity, yet simple and functional appearance, fits unobtrusively in everyday life. In addition to a chrome plated tubular steel base the HAL Ply Tube features a seat shell made of high quality plywood and which offers a level of seating comfort comparable with the plastic version. The HAL Ply Tube is ideal as dining chair, but thanks to its simple design can be used in any space and in combination with other members of the HAL family.
