Tom Chung

Born in Vancouver in 1990 Industrial designer Tom Chung founded his own design studio in Toronto in 2016. For the young designer, who has designed for the Danish manufacturers Muuto and Menu, current cultural conditions and local industry play a major role. Taking these aspects into account, Tom Chung realizes in particular industrial products for private use as well as public spaces and interior design projects. When designing the Beam Table Lamp for Muuto, the designer was inspired by the renovation of his parents' house and for the need that arose for a light source that could shine in two directions at the same time and be set individually.
