Brief
From the powering body to the powering media analysis - so can one describe the challenge of converting a fitness studio into an open space office with loft character.
The first step in the project with Ebiquity management consultancy, the global market leader in media analysis, was to study the use of space, the open space design and the work flow of Ebiquity and to adapt the individual processes to future changes. Also included in this process was a basic cost calculation for budget planning for the tenant, as well as the development of a specially created colour and design concept and the implementation schedule.
The core of the challenge was the conversion of the former fitness studio. In addition, development options for a future orientation of the rooms should be integrated into the open space loft concept, which should also integrate the possibilty of a future expansion of retreat areas.

Realisation
Space, detail and colour planning were based on the individual wishes and requirements of the company, and the concept was tailored to the spatial structure and the corporate identity of the marketing consultancy. The furniture was selected on efficiency and ergonomic considerations.
After testing the furniture and materials in the smow store Hamburg and the Bene showroom, work was also carried out to adapt the electrical connections for technology in the reception and lounge area. After detailed cost calculations, and the creation of a performance overview for the furniture, an order was placed and the project was implemented within an agreed time frame.
Project Synopsis
From a Lady Fitness studio to a spacious, elegant office with industrial loft charm: a fitness studio in the middle of downtown Hamburg was transformed into a creative open space office for a digital consulting company. While the distinctive aspect of the project is the redesign of the fitness areas, the icing on the cake is the retention of the original floor plan: where once heavy fitness equipment stood, elegant furniture now characterises the company headquarters.
Individual retreat areas in the team rooms and phone boxes were also implemented. The creative workroom was designed so that larger events can also be held in the anteroom with seating. All technical standards for work and conference use have been integrated into a clean cable concept. Appointments, deadlines and budget planning were taken into account and the trusting cooperation was further enhanced by the fact that smow Hamburg was given complete freedom in the practical realisation: responsibility and creativity in unison.
