Studio Krøyer-Sætter-Lassen
Established in 2016 by Mads Sætter-Lassen and Emil Krøyer, Studio Krøyer-Sætter-Lassen follows an honest and direct approach to design which sees them develop functional and sculptural objects which represent a strong cultural awareness, emphasize the legacy of Danish design, and attempt to bridge the gap between art and design.
The two designers began their collaboration at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, where they graduated from the School of Design with first a Bachelor and subsequently a Master.
Mads Sætter-Lassen and Emil Krøyer celebrate their differences - meaning the design studio is able to approach any project from different perspectives. By paying particular attention to material properties and mechanical details, the two designers give their work transparency and sincerity. For this reason, Krøyer-Sætter-Lassen prefer, for example, to consciously transform a connection or assembly into a visible and characteristic part of a design instead of hiding it. A process which has seen the realisation of works such as the Passage Stool for Menu.
