Samuel Wilkinson
Samuel Wilkinson graduated in furniture and product design from the Ravensbourne College of Art & Design in 2002. An award winning student, including the RSA Student Design Award, following his graduation Samuel worked for companies like Tangerine, Fitch London, PearsonLloyd and Conrad, and also realized various projects for British Airways, Audi, LG, Samsung and Virgin Airways. In 2008 Samuel Wilkinson established his own design studio and in the same year he designed L'Arbre de Flonville for an old industrial plant in the Flon district in Lausanne, Switzerland. His installation, which is reminiscent of a tree, was the beginning of a series of large-scale projects in the context of a rehabilitation project for the area. Samuel Wilkinson has in addition realised numerous consumer goods projects; international attention being won with designs such as the Plumen 001 lamp, the mouth blown glass lamps of the Vessel series or the Blown pendulum light for &tradition.
