Niels Hvass
Niel Hvass studied furniture design at the Danish Design School, and together with Christina Strand he is co-founder of the studio Strand + Hvass based in Copenhagen. Together, Strand and Hvass design furnishings for manufacturers such as Cane-line, Four Design, Skagerak or Carl Hansen & Søn. In addition, Hvass has taught at the Danish Design School and is a member of the board of the Danish Arts Foundation. Niels Hvass believes in simple design, whereby he likes to experiment with a variety of materials, always searching for the perfect one for a particular purpose rather than strictly limiting himself to standards.
