Muuto Stacked Shelving System
Muuto's Stacked Shelving System is a modular storage solution that offers plenty of storage space and carries the modern Scandinavian flair directly into your living room. The focus of the Muuto shelving is not only the aesthetics, but also the practical benefits: designer Julien de Smedt has developed a piece of furniture that can be individually configured in accordance with the tried-and-tested modular principle and offers space for a wide variety of items. The Muuto Stacked System can be built into a large bookshelf, while offers with the Mini Stacked System also the ideal storage for smaller spaces and/or objects. To stop any given composition from appearing too dominating, the individual Stacked modules can be arranged with gaps, thus making the Muuto shelf visually light and not too massive. For increased stability, the individual Stacked elements are connected with clips and should you do not wish to place the modules directly on the floor, you have the possibility to add a Stacked Podium, which stylishly completes the Scandinavian look with its tapering feet.

How-to: Create your own Muuto Stacked shelving unit
The Muuto Stacked shelving system brings order to our daily chaos and at the same time radiates creativity and free spirit through its individual arrangement of colour and shape.
But how to plan your Stacked shelving unit according to your personal needs and then design it online? Stacked works analogous to the Lego or Tetris principle, and the basic structure of the stacked is very simple: shelf elements are held together with two connecting clips, done!
► The basic principles of Muuto Stacked: Small, Medium, Large
► Important considerations when configuring a unit
► Additions and connecting elements: How the Muuto Stacked shelf holds together
► Examples of Muuto stacked combinations: Which unit for which purpose?
► The Muuto Stacked shelving system: Questions & Answers
All three module sizes - small, medium and large (S, M, L) - and also the colours of the individual Muuto Stacked shelves can be freely combined with each other as required and then placed in your shopping basket.
If you need help: In the Muuto Stacked Configurator, different components of the Muuto Stacked can be virtually assembled as an individual 3D combination. The PDF file with the finished product data for the configured shelf can then simply be downloaded and emailed to service@smow.de (see purchase instructions below).
To keep track of all Stacked combinations and ensure stability, the drag & drop editor tells you which cubes can be stacked and how - and which cannot.
Another tip: In the Muuto shelving configurator, the exact available wall area can also be set beforehand, so that the shelf is not planned too big - and not too small.
• S = Semi-quadrat (21,8 x 43,6 cm)
• M = Quadrat (43,6 x 43,6 cm)
• L = 1.5-Quadrat (65,4 x 43,6 cm)
• S = Semi-quadrat (16,6 x 33,2 cm)
• M = Quadrat (33,2 x 33,2 cm)
• L = 1.5-Quadrat (49,8 x 24,9 cm) ► Note: 1.5 times only applies to the width, the height of the L module on the Mini is flatter than the other modules
Important considerations when configuring a unit
1. Should my unit be with or without a back panel? Or do I want to combine both?
2. Open or semi-open construction: Should some shelves have a door?
3. Do I prefer to store small or large things? Mini Muuto Stacked and Muuto Stacked are suitable for different purposes (Differences)
Additions and connecting elements: How the Muuto Stacked shelf holds together
Stacked podium
A base with feet makes a Muuto Stacked shelving unit an almost free-floating construction (whether half-height or high) that does not have to be attached to the wall - but can be.
The Stacked Podium has exactly the same width as two large shelving modules placed side by side - they can optionally protrude beyond the podium on the left and right. The individual cubes are stacked on top, also asymmetrically.
Clips: How are the individual shelving modules attached to each other? As soon as two shelves touch or build on each other, a Clip is attached between them and thus holds the modules stably together. No Clip is therefore required for wall mounting of Muuto Stacked individual modules. Clips hold two shelf modules together: This creates stability.

The Muuto Stacked shelving system: Questions & Answers
What is the difference between the Muuto Stacked 2.0 and the Mini Stacked 2.0 systems?
► Shelf depth: The Mini Stacked shelf is only 26 cm deep, the Muuto Stacked is 35 cm deep
► Compartment size: All components are available in S, M and L - with the Muuto Stacked they are larger than with Muuto Mini Stacked
► The Mini Stacked module parts cannot be assembled in the configurator, but can be bought as a finished configuration or in various individual parts
Can I combine Muuto Stacked and Muuto Mini Stacked?
► No, due to the different shelf depths, the compartments cannot be put together with Clips
What is the Muuto Mini shelf module suitable for?
► Small and compact: The elements are intended purely as wall shelves, a bit lighter and smaller than the large Muuto Stacked, and are suitable for bedrooms, hallways or kitchens, for example
► The normal-sized Muuto Stacked shelf is more likely to be placed in the living room or study, because the individual shelves are larger and carry more load and can also be used as a sideboard for TV walls
