Mia Lagerman

The Swedish designer Mia Lagerman studied at the legendary Konstfackskolan Stockholm from 1986 to 1991, before joining Design Studio Copenhagen in 1993, an external Ikea studio. Since 1996 Mia Lagerman has freelanced for Ikea and has developed numerous successful products for the Swedish company. Further projects were developed during her ten-year collaboration with the design studio Pelikan Copenhagen, before in 2006 Mia Lagerman founded her own design studio, where she develops projects in the field of furniture and product design, including the Mira chair and the Mira table for Skagerak Mia Lagerman has in addition received numerous international awards including the Red Dot Award and the Elle Interior Design Prize.
