Nendo's NJP floor lamp in the living room
NJP wall lamp from Louis Poulsen
Originally, Oki Sato, designer and founder of the Japanese design studio Nendo, envisaged the NJP lamp for Louis Poulsen as a contemporary reinterpretation of the classic Anglepoise lamp. However, the NJP family includes not only the NJP desk lamp, but also a floor lamp and two wall-mounted variants:, one with a long and one with a short arm. Featuring a sleek design, characteristic floral head and exceptional detailing, the NJP lamps provide direct, glare-free, horizontal light, with some of the light reflected off the back of the ergonomically designed head and shining onto the lamp arm. Thanks to a simple, mechanical system, the Nendo lamps included a large range of movement, so that the light can be precisely aligned.
