FAQ
How do I recognise an original Womb Ottoman?
The Knoll logo is engraved on the frame.
The Womb Ottoman from Knoll International is the perfect companion piece to the Womb Chair. The famous Knoll armchair was developed at the personal request of the company's co-founder - Florence Knoll. In 1948, the architect and designer commissioned her good friend Eero Saarinen to develop an armchair which resembled a basket full of cushions - and which was just as comfortable. The result was the Womb armchair. Crafted from a steel frame and a fibreglass seat, the comfortable upholstery of the Knoll armchair ensures a high sitting comfort. The Womb Ottoman similarly features a filigree steel base, which stands in exciting contrast to the comfortable upholstery. Both the Knoll Womb Chair and Ottoman are covered with high-quality Hopsack fabric and together form a harmonious ensemble.
