Although the Pendant Light HL 99 is a genuine design classic from the German manufacturer Tecnolumen, its exact year of origin and designer are less well documented and defined. What is certain is that it emerged for the first time around 1900, and thanks to its slim, reduced shape and the spherical lamp head made of high-quality glass, it quickly became an established favourite in innumerable schools and offices. It was also one of the first lamps for electric incandescent bulbs, which increased its popularity to the 1930s and 1940s. Today the timeless lamp is often copied, consequently Tecnolumen embosses the company logo and a serial number on every lamp.

How do I recognise an original Tecnolumen HL 99 lamp?
Original Tecnolumen lamps are consecutively numbered have the logos of the manufacturer and the Bauhaus embossed on the underside of the base.
