After completing his degree at the Danish Design School, Kristian Vedel remained at the school as a professor. Shortly afterwards, he designed his Child's Chair, today distributed by Architectmade, whose plug construction system means it can be individually adapted to the size of the child. Always designed for functionality and ergonomics, it is strongly reminiscent of the German Bauhaus movement. As with Kaare Klint, Vedel is widely considered a father of the Danish furniture design. Today the chair can be found in the MoMA Design Department. In addition to the Child's Chair, Architectmade also distribute Vedel's Bird Series.
