Kenneth Grange

Born in 1929, the British designer Kenneth Grange is a real all-rounder in his field. Responsible for a variety of products that are an essential part of our everyday life, he has designed cameras for Kodak, a razor for Wilkinson, and the Adshel Bank, which shaped the appearance of numerous bus stops and parks. After studying at the Willesden School of Arts and Crafts, he worked as a draftsman for Royal Engineers and for the architect Jack How before establishing his own office Kenneth Grange Design Ltd. in 1958. Together with four other designers, he created Pentagram in 1972, which is now the largest consulting company for artists and designers. Kenneth's designs are always designed for the purpose of the product. Since 2003 he has been the chief designer of Anglepoise, where he specializes in the design of industrial lamps. In 2013 Kenneth Grange was knighted for his work.
