Jerszy Seymour

The all-purpose chair Flux is only one of several outdoor furniture objects developed by Jerszy Seymour for the Italian manufacturer Magis. Although active as a product designer, Seymour's main interest is the creation of situations and less the design of objects. Berlin based Seymour interprets design very broadly, and his output also encompasses actions, interventions, installations, diverse materials, and media such as sculpture, film, performance, music, and writing. Jerszy Seymour studied in the turbulence of the 1980s in London before moving to Milan, and finally to Berlin in 2004, where he established the Jerszy Seymour Design Workshop, with which he realized conceptual projects to revitalize design in society. In recent years numerous installations and exhibitions have followed in prestigious institutions such as the Vitra Design Museum, the MAK Vienna or Marta Herford. In addition to his cooperations with Magis, Seymour has also designed for Vitra and Alessi.

Jerszy Seymour sees himself as the creator of situations and is known for his exhibitions, installations and design objects
