Industrial Facility

Sam Hecht and Kim Colin founded their Studio Industrial Facility in London in 2002 and work with renowned international clients such as Muji, Yamaha, LaCie, Epson, Magis and Muuto. The work of the two designers reflect both their love for meticulously planned details and their need to develop products that last and go beyond the basics demanded by the customer. In addition to numerous other awards, Hecht and Colin received the Royal Designers for Industry award from the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce. For the Danish manufacturer Muuto, the design duo designed the Platform Tray, a tray that combines reduced Scandinavian design with Japanese craftsmanship.
