Hermann August Weizenegger
Hermann August Weizenegger was born in 1963 in Kempten (Allgäu) and studied industrial design at the UdK Berlin between 1987 and 1992. In 1993 he founded the studio Voigt + Weizenegger with Oliver Voigt in Berlin, and in which he realised numerous projects for manufacturers such as Möve, Sony Music and Rosenthal. The works of V + W, which are characterized by a strictly conceptual approach, have been shown in numerous exhibitions around the world and are represented in various design collections. Since 2009, Weizenegger has been active at the interface of art, design and fashion with his own HAW studio, realising, for example, a room installation for the Berlin club Berghain, two extensive fashion collections and an exhibition in the Dresden Museum of Applied Arts in 2015. Since 2016 HAW has concentrated more and more on the development of series products, and in 2020 the X-Chair was published by Objekte unserer Tage.
