BDA - Confederation of German Employers' Associations
Realisation of contemporary meeting rooms
BRIEF
For their premises in Berlin, the BDA - Confederation of German Employers' Associations sought a stronger connection between modern conference areas, quieter retreats and inspiring meeting areas. As part of the project, the challenge was to redesign the existing office space and create a coherent multi-purpose meeting area.
REALISATION
The project was supervised by the smow Berlin planning team, who accompanied the client over the complete planning and realisation process: a process which saw the needs of the client and the employees defined and a corresponding concept designed. The concept included not only the dissolution of the existing offices and the merging into new areas, but also tailor-made solutions for carpeting, wall colour and attractive accessories.

PROJECT SYNOPSIS
For the client BDA, four existing rooms were combined to form two meeting rooms measuring 50 and 80 sqm respectively. Here, the focus was particularly on a tripartite division of the areas into lounge, conference and bar areas. The realized room concept is a fusion of cosy retreats for quiet working or relaxing and of contemporary meeting rooms. For counter areas with coffee stations and different counter solutions were designed and high tables combined with matching bar stools with integrated sockets. The design was rounded off by an individual lighting concept and green plants as a gentle dividing element.
