Cecilie Manz
Before designer Cecilie Manz opened her own studio in Copenhagen, she studied first at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and subsequently at the University of Art and Design in Helsinki. Cecilie Manz has been active as an independent designer for almost twenty years and has developed a wide range of product designs - including furniture, glass and lighting - as well as more experimental prototypes and sculptural pieces. Manz sees her work as a large, continuous process: individual projects are often linked, while experiments and ideas do not necessarily lead to functional objects. Particularly functional and beautiful among her output is the Caravaggio lamp for Fritz Hansen.
