Simone Sprang and Ludger Köhler founded the Munich company Piure in 2006, a company devoted to the production of modular furniture systems Made In Germany. In establishing the company, industry knowledge was a key ingredient: Ludger Köhler had previously served previously as managing director of a furniture company, Simone Sprang had studied graphic design and worked as a creative director for several years. Together they formed Piure, combining longevity and high quality with excellent yet simple furniture design in the area of shelving, cabinets, and sideboards, including the practical Nex Pur Box.
