Christian Horner
Christian Horner, who was born in Starnberg and raised in Italy, has been working for the Austrian office furniture manufacturer Bene for several years; a cooperation which has seen him develop numerous objects ad collections, including the the X-Press Desk designed.
Horner's furniture and product designs are characterized by innovative, functional concepts, simple design with attention to detail, as well as timelessness and elegance. Horner learned his craft at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, where he graduated in 1994 from Professor Ron Arad's class. Following his graduation Christian Horner spent several years working in renowned design offices in Paris and Milan, before in 2000 he founded his own design label, Soda Designers, together with the designer Nada Nasrallah and via which he realized numerous projects for manufacturers such as Ligne Roset, Fontana Arte and MDF Italia.
Horner's work has been exhibited in numerous countries, including Japan, Korea and Italy, and he has been nominated for renowned design prizes such as the Red Dot Award or the Design Prize of the Federal Republic of Germany.
