Cecilia Xinyu Zhang

Raised in Beijing, designer Cecilia Xinyu Zhang studied in Sweden, where she graduated from Gothenburg's Academy of Design and Craft, HDK. After working in the studio of the Dutch design star Marcel Wanders, Cecilia Xinyu Zhang founded her own design studio in Bergen in Norway in 2016 from where she has developed designs with which she would like to change our perception of objects and space. For the manufacturer Northern, she has realised several products which thanks to their clever functionality, make it possible to save space - something becoming increasingly scarce in urban areas. The Frame drying rack for Northern can be hooked together for an elegant wall decoration, in operation it offers a lot of space, also for wardrobe accessories and hangers.
