2024 marks what would have been the 110th birthday of the legendary architect and designer Hans J. Wegner. With the teak campaign, Carl Hansen & Søn honours both Wegner's impressive oeuvre and his long relationship with the Danish manufacturer.

Hans J. Wegner was considered one of the most creative, innovative and productive Danish furniture designers, for all through his chair design canon: often referred to as the Master of the Chair, Wegner designed more than 500 chairs, many of which are today considered masterpieces.

The very first model that Hans J. Wegner designed exclusively for Carl Hansen & Søn in 1949 was the CH24 Wishbone Chair in teak, an object that has been in continuous production since its introduction in 1950.
