Carl Hansen Dining Chairs

The CH20 and CH26 dining chairs combine to create a particularly harmonious ensemble

For over 65 years, the Danish manufacturer Carl Hansen & Søn has been inseparable from the designs of Hans J. Wegner. In search of the perfect chair, Wegner designed more than 500 chairs, some of which form a central pillar of Carl Hansen's portfolio and enjoy unrivalled and unabated popularity: works such as the CH24, commonly known as the Wishbone Chair, are now symbols of high-quality Scandinavian design. In addition to such unbroken classics, some of Wegner's almost lost dining chairs have also made it into Carl Hansen's production. As usual, wooden chairs such as the CH23 or CH26 Dining Chair complement chairs such as the Wishbone Chair & Co perfectly and, individually, in a group or mixed with other Wegner chairs, always create a harmonious and cosy picture.

The CH88T dining chair is reminiscent of Picasso's visual language: a clear structure meets original shapes

CH88 – Versatile hybrid chair (1955, reissued in 2014)

► Combination of wooden seat and slim steel frame

► Remained a prototype for over 50 years, only entered production in 2014

Combination tips for Carl Hansen dining room chairs

The CH20 and CH26 dining room chairs can be ideally combined as a harmonious set. The CH24 Wishbone Chair offers versatile combination options - the mix of natural and dark or white lacquered versions is particularly stimulating. In rooms with light parquet such as oak, the coloured lacquered Soft Colours versions of the CH24 ensure a successful material contrast and a contemporary ambience.
