Design Story

Founded in 1960 near Milan, Artemide is one of the world's leading lighting manufacturers. And also one of the most innovative - research on innovative techniques for lamps and promoting emerging designers belong just as much to the core business of the company as the manufacturing and distribution of popular design classics. Artemide, for example, supports the Royal College of Arts London Design School in their efforts to train and promote the young talents under their roof. In addition to improving their products Artemide is also committed to improving their environmental control methods and thus reducing the company's environmental footprint. In this context the use of environmentally friendly materials plays an important role, as does the company's aim of achieving high quality products whose durability and longevity match their aesthetics and functionality. All these factors and ambitions can be found in the Artemide Tizio 50 desk lamp which, thanks to its retractable swivel arms with integrated counterweights and adjustable lighting head can be positioned at will to provide optimal illumination on your desk. A genuine eye-catcher its futuristic design provides a charming sense of purpose and vitality to any workplace. Particularly advantageous: In the bottom of the Tizio lamp a transformer is installed which supplies the halogen lamp with power through the lamp structure and thus makes unsightly cables superfluous.
