Anu Moser
With the Louis Poulsen pendent lamp Moser one's attention is particularly attracted by the extraordinary suspension in the eye: a construction which would not necessarily lead one to believe that the lamp's designer Anu Moser is an expert for the restoration of ceramic articles. Born in 1945 the Swedish ceramist lives and works on the island of Donsö near Göteborg, and Moser represents her very first lamp design. And also her most successful. In realising the design she was inspired by the drop shape that forms when a mass of liquid glass is taken out of the kiln. The original suspension lamp - a genuine innovation in its field - was promptly patented, and put into production, by the Danish lighting manufacturer Louis Poulsen.
