Afteroom
Stockholm-based design studio Afteroom was founded by the designers Hun-Ming Chen and Chen-Yen Wei and pursues the simple and ambitious goal of developing beautiful and simple products, the value of which does not decrease over time. Rather, and in keeping with the Scandinavian design tradition, the two designers are concerned with creating furniture designs and objects that can grow old with the user. The focus of the design process at Afteroom is therefore the search for simple solutions in connection with high-quality materials and a humanistic touch. Hun-Ming Chen and Chen-Yen Wei have proven that their designs meet these requirements with numerous products for the Scandinavian design manufacturer Menu. Afteroom is inspired by an irrepressible interest in forms, senses, proportions, materials and cultures. Points of connection in the past always open up new paths into the future for the Afteroom design duo.
